Hugs Around the World

Why Hugs, Why Now?

There's lots of research to support what we all know instinctively - hugs are good for you! Getting and giving a warm hug reduces anxiety and stress, strengthens the immune system, and improves your mood.

Thanks to COVID, people are not able to get and give hugs the way they have in the past. It's simply not safe. As a result, many are feeling isolated, lonely, and anxious, not to mention frustrated.  The good news is that there are many ways and places we can share hugs that can help us feel less alone and more empowered to help one another through this crisis. Below is a list of and links to our current Hug Projects.
